Instructor Training |
LEARNER DRIVERS
On your first training session, you will be asked to read a car number plate at a distance of 20.5 metres, so, it may be an idea to have your eyesight checked prior to your first session
You will be required to produce both parts of your provisional driving licence, being the photo card and the paper counterpart, to ensure that you are eligible to take driving lessons
Terms & Conditions of Business between the Learner and the Instructor will be issued and signed by both parties
You will be given a personal, planned training programme
You will be issued with a progress card which should be brought to every training session
Lesson structures are tailored to suit your needs. On average, the majority of beginners will require approximately 45 hours of tuition with a fully qualified Instructor, however, in addition, 25 hours of private practice will help reduce this (These figures have been issued by the DSA)
Lesson plans (diagrams) are used to assist in the learning process
Theory Test training is available, if required, and advice on the best training material will be given

IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists)
HPT (Hazard Perception Test, DSA)
Grade 6 Instructors
